Dough
- 4.5 cups Bisquick baking mix or similar all-purpose baking mix
- 1 cup 7-Up or other lemon-lime soda, not diet
- 1 cup Sour Cream full-fat, not light
- Extra Bisquick for dusting work surface and adjusting dough texture
Butter
- 0.5 cup Salted Butter 1 stick, melted in baking dish
Preheat oven to 425°F. Place the stick of salted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it in the oven to melt completely. Remove once melted.
In a large bowl, combine Bisquick, 7-Up, and sour cream. Stir together by hand until just combined. Dough will be sticky.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface (using extra Bisquick). Gently pat or roll into a 1-inch thick round.
Cut biscuits using a round cutter, glass, or small bowl. Re-shape scraps as needed to use up dough.
Place the cut biscuits into the melted butter in the baking dish, touching each other for soft sides.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until tops are golden brown and edges are crisp.
Remove from oven and let biscuits sit in the dish for 2–3 minutes to absorb the butter. Serve warm.
